Belize covers an area of approximately 23,000 sq km with a terrain consisting of a flat, swampy coastal plain and low mountains in the south. Belize borders Guatemala and Mexico, and has 386 km of coastline. The country is divided into 6 districts: Belize, Cayo, Corozal, Orange Walk, Stann Creek and Toledo.
