Turinta
Turinta was founded in 1976 by Eva and Hilario Sanchez. Beginning with a road map of Portugal which also incorporated a hotel guide, Turinta went on to expanded its range of maps and guides, building the company into a major mapping organisation. Turinta now publishes a comprehensive assortment of maps and guides, providing an invaluable service to both Portuguese and international tourists. One of Turinta's big successes was the production of the official UEFA map for the EURO 2004 championships. In the 1990s, Turinta converted all its maps into a digital format, and in 1998, Eva and Hilario Sanchez were joined in the company by their son, Jamie. Jamie Sanchez is now in overall charge of Turinta following his parents' retirement.
