Sustrans
Founded in 1977 by a group of people in Bristol wishing to encourage people to choose healthy and environmentally-friendly means of travel, Sustrans is now the foremost sustainable transport charity in the UK. Their aim is to develop and promote practical and innovative ways of dealing with the transport challenges that affect us all, with a particular emphasis on health and the environment. Part of Sustrans' role is to provide information and work directly with people to bring about a change in behaviour. With this aim in mind, Sustrans has produced a series of cycling map guides that cover many sections of the National Cycle Network (over 12,000 miles of connected cycling routes around the country). These guides contain well-designed mapping as well as helpful local information.
