One of a series of four charts covering the whole French airspace. These ICAO standard VFR aeronautical charts by IGN are produced under the guidance of DGAC (Direction Générale de lAviation Civile). They show topographical information for VFR navigation as well as airspace up to 5,000ft AMSL or 2,000ft above the surface, whichever is higher. There is a wealth of information on these charts including aerodrome locations, radio navigation aids, controlled airspace, places where activities such as aerobatics, parachuting, gliding, ballooning and even model aircraft take place, vertical limits, VFR routes and obstacles such as power lines, wind turbines and cables. If you are flying through French airspace you really can’t afford to be without them.
